Privacy, in plain language

What we collect, who can see it, how long we keep it, and what you can demand of us — written to be read, not skimmed past.

The data lifecycle

Five stages, no surprises

1
Captured
by the visible agent
2
Encrypted
in transit and at rest
3
Scoped
by role, access logged
4
Retained
for your chosen window
5
Deleted
on schedule, or on request
Being finalised

Formal legal documents ship with public launch. Until then, this page describes our current practice in plain language — it's the deal we operate by today, written so you can actually read it.

What we collect

Work-session metadata from the desktop agent — clock-ins, active apps, activity states — plus screenshots if your workspace turns them on, at the blur level set per person. Account basics: name, email, role, workspace.

What we don't collect

The agent is visible while it runs, and captures only what your workspace's policy says. We don't sell data, we don't advertise, and answers from Ask TeamLens come only from your own workspace.

Who can see what

Roles scope everything: members see their own data, managers their team, owners set policy. Live-view sessions are themselves logged. Nobody — including us — browses your workspace casually; operational access is limited and logged.

How long we keep it

Screenshots follow the retention window your workspace sets and delete on schedule. Session records persist so payroll and history stay auditable; delete your workspace and they go with it.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access is role-scoped and audited. Formal certifications (SOC 2 and friends) are in progress — we say so plainly rather than borrowing badges.

Your rights

Export your workspace or ask for its deletion at any time by emailing us. Members can always see the data recorded about them — that's product, not paperwork.
